Monty Python stalwart Eric Idle and composer John Du Prez adapt the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail into a musical featuring the Knights Who Say Ni, killer rabbits, accused witches and other Python touches. Spamalot adds swipes at Vegas glitz and Broadway conventions to the film's anarchic spirit.

The original 2005 Broadway production was directed by Mike Nichols and won three Tony Awards, including the Tony Award for Best Musical of the 2004–2005 season. Spamalot received 14 Tony Award nominations. During its initial run of over 1,500 performances it was seen by more than two million people.
